Highland Park MUSIC program

student musicians

The purpose of this program is to teach students to value music. Students will learn strong performance skills, as well as concepts in music theory and history. Students will also have the opportunity to create and analyze music, as well as to connect music to culture, other disciplines, and their everyday lives. Through our performances, and our everyday activities, we will try to foster an appreciation of music in both our school and our community.

The Band Boosters Association (HPBB) is a parent group designed to help support the band program. The purpose of this organization is to develop and maintain an enthusiastic interest in the various endeavors of the band program at Highland Park Middle School by providing essential services like field trip chaperones, fundraising support, advocacy etc. Parent involvement is crucial to the success of our students, so we rely heavily on this organization to operate at our highest level of efficiency.
